This has been well received, and has even encouraged people to submit alternative definitions.Ĭongratulations to Mike Harcrow, who built on last year’s efforts with a prodigious output and was the unanimous winner for 2021. A new feature this year was the inclusion of a column for the original word (sometimes a phrase, sometimes a combination of two words – the “clever” ones combine two words with a one-letter change in each and a definition that alludes to both). 2021 was a year to remember (but impossible to memorise).
